Freeman Peace Internships 2006-2007

Are you a young person between 19 and 26 who is committed to peace, justice, reconciliation and nonviolent social change in an interfaith context?
The U.S. Fellowship of Reconciliation has two paid youth intern positions open for the 2006-07 year. Both 11-month positions include a stipend of $700/month, medical insurance, housing, four weeks vacation, great mentors, and the opportunity to work with a national peace and justice organization.
Positions will start in the late summer or early fall, depending on the program. Each intern will work with the mentorship and supervision of the program coordinator, as well as the support of the internship coordinator. Interns will attend a group orientation at FOR’s national office in Nyack, NY toward the start of their internship.
Two positions are available with the following programs:
1. Task Force on Latin America & the Caribbean's Colombia Program: Support work for International Accompaniment Program in the Peace Community of San José de Apartadó (located in San Francisco, CA)
