Are you looking for an experience that you'll never
forget? Come volunteer
at the Fellowship of Reconciliation in Nyack, New York and you'll find
it. You will stay at Shadowcliff, a magnificent 1920's mansion nestled
along
the Hudson River that serves as the FOR headquarters.

You will be surrounded by a staff of diverse, interesting,
and dedicated people, including some of the most respected members of the
nonviolence and
social justice community.

You will be immersed in the rich history of the oldest
interfaith peace and justice organization in the United States.

You will be directly involved in the hands-on work of
helping local FOR groups around the country get started, and helping with
the FOR's National
Conference in August 2004.

You'll get educated on FOR's remarkable programs such as
disarmament, nonviolence training, racial and economic justice, and more.

You will help us help the world come together in peace
and love.
Details
You can volunteer for any length of time from a one
week to three months. Rooms are dorm-style with bathroom at end of
hall. Full kitchen and lounge
provided. Couples can be accommodated by special request. FOR
members are especially encouraged to volunteer.
About Nyack
Nyack is a beautiful community in Rockland County,
just north of New York City. Step out onto the sidewalk in front of
Shadowcliff and you're only a short walk from everything. To your
right you'll find Nyack Beach State Park with walking and biking trails
that wind
along the Hudson River, part of the Palisades Interstate Park System.
To your
left you'll find downtown Nyack, brimming with shops, eateries, the Nyack
Public Library, and much more. And a 45-minute bus ride will find you
square in the middle of New York City, one of the greatest cities in
the world.
