July 23-25, Albany, NY
Fellowship of Reconciliation staff and leaders will be attending the United National Antiwar Conference, being held this July in Albany.
FOR's Mark Johnson (executive director), Leila Zand (Iran program director), and Jim Murphy (International Veterans FOR chapter coordinator) will speak on panels, and many other FOR members will actively participate in this major peace and justice event focused on ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and opposing U.S. militarism worldwide. 2010 Peace Prize Winners Named,
Join us Oct. 2 in New York City!
Join us in honoring those working to build a culture of peace in the midst of mistrust and war.
Our 2010 Peace Prize recipients are Scott Kennedy, Pfeffer Peace Prize; Medea Benjamin, Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace Prize; and Drs. Tashi Dolma and Tashi Rabten, Local Nyack Area Peace Prize!
This year's theme is Peace of the Action! The celebration starts Saturday, Sept. 25 at our headquarters: 521 N. Broadway, Upper Nyack, NY 10960 with an art show and sale featuring artists from the local Hudson Valley area. "A Day in Memory of Peacemakers" will also be held to commemorate those who committed themselves to peace and reconciliation during their lifetimes, and those who lives were sacrificed in the continuing struggle for justice and nonviolent conflict resolution.
Then, join us on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 1:00 PM for our banquet at Riverside Church, 490 Riverside Drive, New York, NY.
